Having established the company in 2010, Darren Nixon now spends his time engaging with schools across NI to assist in finding solutions to areas that they would like to focus on in their school Development Plan. This could be working on projects to assist the teachers, parents, pupils or even the wider community. Content for each project could be on a wide range of issues such as careers, STEM/STEAM, numeracy, literacy, shared education, study skills strategies, employability, enterprise, labour market intelligence, transition and much more.

Having a Master’s degree in Education with specialisms in disengaged/disaffected pupils and the use of ICT in education, coupled with his passion for young people joining and driving the NI labour market, makes Darren very well placed to engage with schools and businesses on a range of themes.
His background includes working and running a number of businesses in recruitment, the technical training industry and mainstream education. With expertise of working within both the private and public sector, Darren practices a “context based – blended learning” approach. Therefore using the latest in technology as well as traditional learning methods; while at the same time taking current labour market intelligence and applying it to the current educational framework in a range of disciplines. Each project at each school is bespoke and tailored directly to the needs of the stakeholder; in each case defined outcomes are agreed and evaluated.
